Main Site
Video walkthrough
This guy has a ton of footage from the beta

Looks pretty good. I haven't played a good 4x game in a good while - let alone a magic/fantasy based one. Not much about I can say really, the main site does a good job explaining the various mechanics in play and the video shows a pretty good demonstration of it.

The game is supposed to be released August 24th.

Edit: The youtube guy's videos are far more up to date than the one developer walkthrough.

Gametrailers game page

It has three new videos that show off the story and characters, gameplay mechanics and modding tools.

There's also a flood of new journals updated on Elemental's main page:

http://www.elementalgame.com/

Sucks that I never decided to pick up the beta though, as it looks like those who participated in the Beta, will be able to play it by this Sunday, while Pre-orders on Monday if you do it through their impulse site (which at least I did that) and finally everyone else on Tuesday.

Man am I looking forward to this.

Well,

It's out, and it's defiantly fun, you do get that another turn feel to it, but they still got ways to go in terms of mastering the genres like Civ or Heroes and Might and Magic have done for their respective fields, but there is certainly potential here.

It's like watching a dog search the room after you just showed him a peek of a tennis ball in your hand before you hid it behind your back...

Not that you are a dog by any means MP, but the sensation is the same. :P

As to the game, I watched their multi-part tutorial on livecast and wasnt that impressed. Well, I was about some things - but everything this game does that really interested me will probably be done better by Civ V in just a couple months.

That's the thing, it's part Civ V, but at the same time, it's also part Heroes and Might Magic, which is why it's pretty intriguing. I'm enjoying it a lot, but as I mentioned earlier, it still needs lots of work, my only hope is Stardock can pull the same magic they did with the Gal Civ II series, as by the time they got to their 3rd expansion it was a pretty amazing game.

Ohh, and Civ 5 is closer then you think, it's coming out next month I think, and yes I will be getting that too, so queue the jokes, lol..
