This game was discovered by the one and only Knello, but he has yet to post anything about it unless im completely oblivious and didnt notice it. The game apaprently came out yesterday and is available on steam, sadly there is no demo...hopefully there will be one as this game seems interesting.

This game is made by a small russian developer according to Knello and seems to be a....Totalwar, Civilization, and RPG combo. Customizable heroes of the round table that you need to keep their loyalty or they could leave you. Ability to move in certain directions as king as far as religion and tyranical or benevolent ruler to gain access to particular spells and skills.

Magic is an element of the game that seems interesting, but also cheap to a....slight..degree.

Check out the dev blogs here:

If I didnt get my upgrades I might consider this, but now im pretty much on "buy nothing" mode except gas, but hey, new parts I cant complain XD.

I'm downloading the Dev Diaries as we speak, it looks pretty darn interesting may pick it up when I get back from work.

BTW HEY EVERYONE! ;)

Not really do much besides playing single player games like Dragon Age and Assassins Creed II, but hopefully everyone is doing well and had a great thanksgiving.

Also, gonna make another post about this very very interesting MTW2 Mod if you guys are curious to dust up your copies of MTW2: Kingdoms like I have.

later!

Now that I've had a good couple of days to really play this game I must say I am totally impressed by this.

In my opinion it's the closest thing I've seen to a total war game out there, and this game does not disappoint.

Now, don't be mistaken, it's not as free-form as the Total War Series are, it really tries to follow a story through their quests (hence the roleplaying part of the game), but at the same time you don't need to follow it, and can just go about conquering Britain and Wales, however, by doing you'll lock yourself out on the awesome quests that introduce famous knights (known in Arthurian legend) or other branching paths. Secondly, the game is really not meant to be played like that as there really is no diplomacy in game, but only through certain quests where this can be achieved.

As for the battle themselves, the the unit detail looks amazing, however, the actual combat animation is pretty lame, as you really can't see anything. (I guess Total War games have us spoiled there) Secondly, the camera system is pretty awkward, I finally got use to the default camera style and at least it's decent, but defiantly could use more work.

The most important thing that should be noted, and sometimes the advantage of having a small developer make this, is they really seem to be listening to their fans about what to add to the game or to fix.

People ask for a delete save option in the forums and also complained about the really tough ghost armies late in the game, the patch that just got released yesterday included a delete save option, and they lowered the spawn rates of the ghost armies. Naturally, there are many more examples of this, if you read their forums, then look at what got implemented in the patch after.

Of course, if anyone else has any questions about the game, I'll be more then happy to try to answer them.

You know there is something called an Edit button MP....

I've yet to play this game in its entirety after I got my new parts and formatted, the problem with the 200 series nvidia cards is a major problem.

I did try lowering the graphics to lowest except the resolution, seemed to work fine, but then I couldnt see the quest markers. So I improved them to low, same res and then my framerate dropped like a stone. Soon after I got the blue screen of death, one of the few times in all these years i've had Vista that I got one...

They need to patch the game, they patched the game a couple days after release which made the problem worse or better in some cases. It's been what? 2 weeks now with nothing, so im assumnig some major patch is coming, hopefully it fixes the problem and improves performance.
